I am leaving this warning about my absolutely terrible online shopping experience, hoping it serves as a cautionary tale for others. I encountered a company that was dishonest, didn't honor its promos, and whose site was full of glitches. My direct conclusion from this ordeal is that they are unprofessional and I will NOT return to them, nor do I recommend them. I felt compelled to leave this review and engage with customer service because they made it impossible to collect an offer due to their site's issues, and their proposed solution was simply outrageous.
Customer: I'm calling because your website glitched, and I couldn't apply the buy-one-get-one-free promotion to my recent order. Now you're telling me I have to return my perfectly fine glasses and reorder just to get the discount? That's ridiculous. CS Rep: I apologize for the difficulty you experienced with the promotion and our website glitches. Our current policy for resolving unapplied promotions requires the original order to be returned and a new order placed with the correct promotion applied. Customer: But that's not a simple solution. The style and prescription are correct. Why can't you just credit the difference back to my card? That would be much easier for everyone. CS Rep: I understand your frustration with the process. Unfortunately, our system doesn't allow for a direct credit in these situations to apply the promotional discount after the order has been processed. A return and reorder ensures the promotion is correctly applied to a new transaction. Customer: So, despite admitting the mistake was on your end, I have to go through the hassle of a return and reorder. This is incredibly inconvenient and unprofessional.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from falling into the same trap.
